1.2: Analyze your layout

Chordal now shows which layout fits you and where you lose time.

Compare Layouts (Pro). Score every built-in layout against English, code, or your own typing, measured on the board you use. Effort, same-finger, pinball, rolls, and more, side by side, with a word that traces across each layout so you can see the difference.
My Bottlenecks (Pro). See where you actually lose time on your current layout, and get an honest read on whether to drill the slow moves or switch. Drill your worst moves in one tap.
Sharper Smart Practice (Pro). Sessions now weight the same-finger bigrams and pinball words the analyzer flags, so you drill the awkward movements that actually slow you down.
More keyboards. Pick a physical board and a layout separately in the redesigned Keyboard Manager, from full-size ANSI to split ortho boards like the Corne, Kyria, and Lily58.
Code practice. A new Developer category with per-language ladders. Practice real formatted code, starting with Python.
Key Mastery, front and center. The per-key heatmap now sits in the Analyzer section alongside Compare Layouts and My Bottlenecks.
Sharper history. History is kept per layout and can be sliced by the Developer category.
Practice goals and reminders. Set daily and weekly goals, keep a streak, and turn on an opt-in reminder, with a month heatmap of your practice.
Redesigned Settings. Settings is now organized into categories in a sidebar.
In-app Help gains topics for the analyzer, a terminology glossary, and how-to walkthroughs.
Assorted fixes and polish.

Chordal grows beyond the Twiddler.

Beyond chorded keyboards. Practice physical layouts like Dvorak, Colemak, and Workman, not only chorded devices. The lessons, diagram, and stats all follow the layout you pick.
Speed and Endurance topics (Pro). Two new focused practice tracks. Speed runs short bursts that push your top speed. Endurance runs longer timed blocks that build stamina.
Smarter Smart Practice (Pro). Sessions now pull real words from your history, weight keys by how rusty they've gotten, and show what changed since last time.
Deeper analytics (Pro). Key Mastery gains Usage and Change lenses, and History adds personal records, weekly insight cards, and a layout-transfer gauge.
Assorted fixes and polish.

Guided lessons from your first glyph to full prose, running Beginner to Advanced with focused Topics alongside. Chord hints fade as you speed up. Clear the accuracy bar to pass, then chase the Silver and Gold speed goals.
Chord Mastery heatmap that colors your whole layout by accuracy or speed, with a “Where to Focus” list of your slowest and most-missed keys.
Progress and history. A words-per-minute chart over time, your all-time weakest glyphs, and a full session log, stored on your device and synced across your Apple devices with iCloud.
Your layout, your lessons. Built-in Twiddler 3 and Twiddler 4 profiles, or import your own .cfg from the Twiddler Tuner. The lessons and on-screen diagram rebuild around it. Quick Practice drills the exact letters holding you back.
Chordal Pro. An optional one-time purchase that adds Smart Practice, Macro Practice and lessons, a full multi-profile library, and custom speed and accuracy goals.
