Terms of Use

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Chordal is developed by IndieBits LLC (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using Chordal (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms and the Standard EULA differ, the Standard EULA governs your license to use the App.

Purchases

Chordal offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, Chordal Pro, that unlocks additional features. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. We do not receive or store your payment information. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of practicing on a chorded keyboard, and not to reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Your content

Chordal stores your practice data and any device profiles you create or import on your device. When you are signed in to iCloud, this data also syncs to your private iCloud database automatically so it stays consistent across your Apple devices; there is no separate setting to turn this on or off. You are responsible for the configurations and data you import. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IndieBits LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Consumers in the EEA and UK

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your mandatory statutory rights, including any statutory warranties and, for digital purchases, your right of withdrawal. Because purchases are made through Apple as the seller, these rights are provided and handled by Apple. Nothing above is intended to limit our liability for anything that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version.
