Requirements
macOS 15 or later. A Twiddler (or other supported chorded keyboard) is recommended but not required to try lessons.
Common questions
Do I need a Twiddler to use Chordal?
Chordal is built for chorded keyboards like the Twiddler 3 and Twiddler 4, and the lessons and diagrams match those layouts. You can explore the app and lessons without one, but you'll get the most out of it typing on the real device.
Can I use my own layout?
Yes. Import your .cfg from the Twiddler Tuner and Chordal will match every lesson, the on-screen chord diagram, and your stats to your actual layout. Chordal Pro lets you keep a full library of layouts and switch between them instantly.
Where is my practice data stored?
On your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, it also syncs to your private iCloud database so your progress follows you across your own Apple devices. We never receive your data — see the Privacy Policy for details.
What does Chordal Pro include?
Pro is a single optional in-app purchase — no subscription. It adds Smart Practice, Macro Practice & Lessons, a full profile library, and custom goals. The core curriculum, Weak Glyphs, Chord Mastery, and unlimited history are free.
How do refunds work?
All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Refunds are requested through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Is there an iPhone or iPad version?
Chordal is on macOS first. iOS and iPadOS versions are in development — drop us a note and we'll let you know when they land.
